Herbal solutions for prostate problems.
First, what is prostate cancer? Your prostate is a gland that makes and stores semen. It is located below your bladder and surrounds the tube that carries urine out of your body. When cells in your prostate become cancerous, they divide and grow until they form a mass of tissue called a tumor. This tumor can press against your urethra and bladder.
A few of the symptoms are:
* frequent or difficult urination
* dribbling
* blood in urine
* painful urination
* painful ejaculation
* hip or back pain
Herbal remedies might offer as much relief as prescription drugs or surgery for certain conditions. In fact, some herbs are able to treat and prevent cancerous cysts from growing!
Below four(4)of the more common herbal remedies:
Saw palmetto - According to several studies, saw palmetto can free you from the symptoms of an enlarged prostate. Men over 60 are prone to an enlarged prostate. In fact, 50% of men over 60 are at risk. It appears that saw palmetto helps by actually reducing the prostate's size.
Pumpkin seeds - Pumpkin seeds contain cucurbitacins, chemicals that stop testosterone from changing into a stronger form of testosterone, which encourages too many prostate cells to grow. The seeds also contain zinc, a mineral that could reduce the size of your prostate. Thus, start munching!
Stinging nettle - In a recent study, an extract of the stinging nettle plant appeared to stymie the symptoms of BPH without any serious side effects.
African plum tree - According to researchers, it reduces prostate inflammation and increases your bladder's output.
Just a word of advice, prostate cancer is the second deadliest cancer for men in the United States, only behind lung cancer. So, do not brush the symptoms off!
